Healthcare

Health benefits are available on the first day of employment.

Medical Plans
Choice to enroll in one of the three medical plans offered through UnitedHealthcare.

Dental Plans
Choice of Dental PPO or Dental HMO through UnitedHealthcare.

Vision
Voluntary plan available through UnitedHealthcare.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
Employees that enroll in the Company-Sponsored plan will open a Health Savings Account (HSA). Globecomm provides a dollar amount funding to this HSA to help individuals and their dependents pay for medical expenses.

Insurance

Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)
Company-paid life insurance is five-times an employee’s base salary up to a maximum of $500,000. This benefit begins on first day of employment.

Long Term Disability
Voluntary long term disability coverage is available after being disabled 90 days.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Healthcare FSA is available to those not enrolled in the company-sponsored medical plan. This savings account allows for pre-tax savings to pay for IRS determined medical expenses. Employees may contribute up to the IRS annual maximum of $2,550.

Dependent Care FSA provides pre-tax savings to pay for any dependent care related expenses such as daycare costs. The IRS determines dependent care reimbursements and employees may contribute up to the IRS annual maximum of $5,000.

Legal Benefits
Voluntary legal benefits are offered to our employees and their dependents on the first of the month following date of hire. Membership includes unlimited legal advice, will preparation, traffic-related issues, civil suites, IRS audit assistance, divorce, adoption, and identify theft.

Accident Insurance Coverage
Accident insurance is a voluntary benefit designed to cover unexpected expenses that result from all kinds of accidents; even sports-related and household ones. This benefit provides 24-hour coverage with benefits for hospital admission, hospital confinement, hospital intensive care unit and emergency room treatment.

Critical Illness Coverage
Specified disease voluntary insurance covers deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance of your health insurance. This coverage is compatible with a Health Savings Account.

Medical Gap Coverage
Hospital confinement indemnity voluntary insurance plan can help protect you against those out-of-pocket expenses related to a covered accident or covered sickness.

Time Off Benefits

Holidays
All eligible employees receive eight (8) company recognized holidays.

Vacation
The Company understands the importance of time away from the office to rejuvenate and provides paid vacation.

Sick
The Company realizes that employees may become sick during business hours; therefore, the Company offers 10 sick days accrued per year. Sick time may be used for the purpose of visiting doctors, dentists, or other practitioners in their offices. This time may also be used for tending to a serious illness suffered by a member of your immediate family, in the event the illness requires your personal time and attention.

Salary Continuation While on Disability Leave
Certain employees who have been employed by the Company for a minimum of one-year may be eligible to receive salary continuation while on an approved Family Medical Leave.

Bereavement Leave
Employees with a minimum of three (3) months of service are eligible for paid bereavement leave. Employees are entitled to take up to three (3) workdays with pay to attend the funeral and take care of personal matters related to the death of an immediate family member.

Military Leave
Employees who have been consecutively employed for 6 months and serve in U.S. military organizations or state militia groups may take the necessary time off to fulfill this obligation and will retain all of their legal rights for continued employment and employment benefits under existing laws. Globecomm will pay your regular pay up to a maximum of 2 weeks within a rolling 12-month period.

Retirement Planning

401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) Roth
After three (3) months of service, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Savings Plan and/or 401(k) Roth beginning with the next open enrollment dates.

Training & Development

Technical Training
Technical training will be provided to employees based on their specific position. These training classes may include hands-on training on our specific system equipment, operation, installation, and maintenance. Additional training will include ISO 9001 training and required safety training programs.

Seminars/Certifications
Globecomm will pay 100% for any job-related seminars and or certifications such as CISCO if it is necessary for your particular position which requires advanced manager and human resources approval.

Tuition Reimbursement
Globecomm believes that an individual who possesses a desire to continue their education, in addition to performing their full-time job, shows a commitment to continually improving themselves and their value to the Company. To encourage and reward these individuals, Globecomm offers an Education Assistance benefit. Reimbursement is based on grades received and there is no waiting period to participate.
