Medical Benefits

The Company provides medical coverage through CIGNA Health Care. The Cigna Open Access Plus plan combines the best aspects of different health care plans – managed care, self-referral and indemnity – into one flexible plan. Employees and their dependents (up to age 19, 25 if full-time student) are eligible for this benefit on the first of the month following their employment date. If the employees live, or travel domestically, outside of Long Island, they will continue to utilize their nationwide Network of providers and enjoy the identical benefit levels. The employee and company share in the cost of this benefit.

Dental Benefits

Globecomm provides two dental plan options through United Guardian (Maryland employees have a third option with Dominion Dental). Employees and their dependents (up to age 20, 26 if full-time student) are eligible for this benefit on the first of the month following their employment date. The employee and company share in the cost of this benefit.

Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)

Globecomm provides term life insurance of five (5) times an employee’s base annual salary up to a maximum of $500,000. AD&D coverage provides a benefit for loss of life or limb(s) as a result of an accident occurring on or off the job. Loss of life benefits would be payable to the designated beneficiary(ies) either by lump sum or monthly installments. There is no cost to the employee for this benefit.

401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) Roth

After three months of service, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Savings Plan and/or 401(k) Roth beginning with the next open enrollment dates and the Company currently offers an employer match.

Voluntary Long Term Disability

The Company provides Voluntary LTD benefits immediately upon employment.

Voluntary Vision Plan

The Company offers voluntary vision coverage. Employees and their dependents (up to age 19, 25 if full-time student) are eligible for this benefit on the first of the month following their employment date.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

The Company offers employees the benefit of enrolling in a Health Care and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Plans (FSA) to pay for services and benefits with pre-tax dollars. Employees are eligible to join the first of the month following their employment date.

Time Off

The Company offers employees vacation, sick, and holiday time off.

Educational Assistance

The Company supports job-related continuing education and offers Educational Assistance. Reimbursement is contingent upon the grade the employee receives.
