Globecomm Systems Direct-To-Home (DTH) Broadcast Centers are customized designs
that take advantage of the appropriate satellite communications and digital
studio technologies to provide the optimum solution for specific customer
requirements. Globecomm Systems designs solutions for direct broadcast uplinks,
program acquisition downlinks, and broadcast studios, whether the facilities
are domestic or international.
Globecomm Systems provides uplinks for both High Power 17 GHz Broadcast
Satellite Services Band requirements as well as Medium Power14 GHz Fixed
Satellite Services Band requirements. Globecomm Systems provides the studio and
transmission equipment, from the video source to the digital encoders to the
transmission to the satellite. Globecomm Systems also provides reception of
off-air satellite signals to be turned around in the Broadcast Center for
retransmission on digital video channels.
